A note from the chef, Sam Cary:

My aim is to create delicious, modern food. The Great Shefford sits in an area which is rich in height quality produce that I am making the most of. I aim to use only the very best, to create and serve dishes that I know I would be happy to eat myself.

It has always been my ambition to work in the kitchens at some of the best restaurants in the country. I have worked at the renowned ‘Hand and Flowers’ and ‘Whatley Manor’. I am proud to be leading the team at The Great Shefford and look forward to cooking for you.

I am passionate about cooking on coals and make the most of the Hibachi grill in the kitchen. I am sure you will appreciate the smoky notes throughout your meal.

I am excited to reveal my very own chefs table at The Great Shefford. Myself and my team have worked incredibly hard to produce something extremely special for our guests.

This is bookable from Wednesday – Saturday each week. From 6-8 people booking is essential. Please call a member of our team directly on 01488 648462 in order to book you & your guests. We ask for a 50% deposit at the time of booking.

Wine pairing is optional at £29.95 per head.
